So, you have contributed your blood, sweat, tears, and money to Club Blue and now your student has graduated....now what???

 

Well, now the fun begins.  Many of the alumni have banded together to give back to the program that gave so much to our kids.  

 

We get together a couple times throughout the year and support the program however we can.  We also have committed to funding the Alumni Scholarship.  

 

In 2013 a group of alumni parents and students worked together to raise funds and provide the very first set of college scholarships. Through their hard work, they were able to award a total of $1000 in scholarships that year.  Since then, a dedicated group of Club Blue Alumni parents and students have continued raising money for the annual college scholarships. 

 

To date, more than $5100 in college scholarships have been awarded to 15 college-bound Club Blue graduating students. These college scholars continue to make Club Blue proud and have attended UC Irvine, San Diego State University, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Fullerton, Arizona State University and Southwestern College. 

 

This merit-based college scholarship can only be used for reimbursement of college tuition, books or fees. 

One hundred percent of donations to the Alumni scholarship are used for college scholarships and are fully tax deductible as permitted by the IRS.  Club Blue is a Non-Profit 501©3 organization.

  1. Attend the Finale Concert and make an onsite donation.

  2. Mail a check to BVHS Club Blue, designate on the check Alumni College Scholarship Fund. Send to the address listed on the Contact page.

History of the scholarship

The alumni parents from the class of 2012 founded the scholarship and raised $1000 by selling lumpia and pancit at band events, since then donations have been collected at End of Year concert via dedicated auction items, as well as by private donations.
